Founder & Partner

Azian Binti Shaharum

Background

Admitted to the Bar since 1997. Her vision is to make Azian & Co. one of the most formidable legal firms, delivering professional and effective legal services to society at large.

Education

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Second Class Upper Honours, 1994.

LLM Master’s Degree, specialising in Corporate Insolvency and Procurement (Business Law), University of Wales, Aberystwyth, United Kingdom, 1995.

Experience

Chambered at Messrs Kumar Tashin & Co. She later established her own practice under Messrs Azian Saibullah & Co, now known as Messrs Azian & Co.

Expertise

Civil and commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, banking matters, conveyancing and other legal matters.

Ekbal Singh Sandhu
Partner

Ekbal Singh Sandhu

Background

Joined Messrs Azian & Co in 2010 as a Partner. He was admitted to the Bar in 2000 and carries the vision of bringing the firm forward as a leading dispute resolution solution provider.

Education

Graduated from Bond University, Australia.

Experience

His practice is mainly in general civil litigation, beginning from his chambering days with Messrs Othman Hashim & Co and Messrs H.S. Dillon & Co.

He later served as a Legal Assistant at Messrs Zainal Ithnin & Partners. To date, he has personally conducted more than 300 personal injury cases and various general civil litigation matters.

Mutharasu Krishnan

Mutharasu Krishnan is the Co-Founder of Messrs Azian & Co, established in 1997. Prior to formally entering legal practice in 2024, he spent close to three decades since 1996 in the field of corporate legal advisory and business consultancy, working closely with corporations, developers, business owners, and private stakeholders.

Education

Holds double degrees in law: LL.B (Hons) from Staffordshire University and LL.B Second Class Upper with Honours from International Islamic University Malaysia.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Law (LL.M) with specialisation in Business Law.

Professional Development

Developed extensive exposure in corporate advisory, commercial negotiations, contractual management, debt recovery, property-related matters, and strategic dispute management through years of involvement with business entities and commercial stakeholders.

Experience

Possesses close to three decades of experience in corporate legal advisory and commercial consultancy involving corporations, developers, commercial entities, and private stakeholders across various industries prior to formally entering legal practice as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2024.
